Alborán: encounter at the capital/ encuentro en la capital

A second invasion force had landed near the capital. They surprised the Duke's forces by attacking an energy transformation plant instead of the government buildings. Only the militia's infantry was there to protect the city, at least until cavalry could come!

Una segunda fuerza de invasión aterrizó cerca de la capital, sorprendiendo a las fuerzas del duque al atacar una planta transformadora en vez de los edificios de gobierno. Solo la infantería de la milicia estaba allí para proteger la ciudad, ¡al menos hasta que la caballería pudiera llegar!

The city defenders/ los defensores de la ciudad

We played a different scenario this time: the attackers had to go from one of the short table edges to the other, grab their objective (a power generator), then go back. Defender's mechs would arrive from any edge on the third turn.

Esta vez jugamos un escenario diferente: los atacantes tenían que ir de un borde corto de la mesa al otro, coger un objetivo (un generador de potencia) y volver. Los mechs de los defensores saldrían por cualquier borde en el tercer turno.


Attacking Strelkovis fought against the enemy infantry which was concealed inside the buildings while the invader's "Falcons" (essentially Phoenix Hawk mechs with mortars) rushed for the generator.

Los Strelkovis atacantes lucharon contra la infantería enemiga que estaba escondida dentro de los edificios mientras los "Falcons" (esencialmente Phoenix Hawks con morteros) se apresuraban hacia el generador.


The defending mechs appeared and divided in two groups: the one in the pictured went against the strelkovis while the other two killed the Falcon which had got the generator.

Los mechs defensores aparecieron divididos en dos grupos: el de la foto se dedicó a atacar a los strelkovis mientras el otro grupo desguazaba a uno de los dos falcons que intentaba huir con el generador.


Last moments of the fight: the charging Orion killed almost an single Strelkovi on the table, but one of them got a critical explosion and destroyed the Orion's legs. Outside of this pic, the last Falcon and the Enforcer had a moving battle which ended with the Falcon withdrawing with the generator. Again, a really close victory for the attackers!

Últimos momentos de la lucha: el Orion a la carga destruyó casi todos los Strelkovi de la mesa, pero uno de ellos explotó a causa de un crítico y le voló las piernas al Orion. Fuera de esta foto, el último Falcon y el Enforcer tuvieron una batalla a la carrera que acabó con el Falcon casi destruido retirándose con el generador a cuestas. De nuevo, una victoria ajustadísima por parte de los atacantes.

To give you an idea on how fast this game is, take into account that we played both this game and the previous one in one afternoon, and it was our first time!

Para que os hagais una idea de lo rápido que es este juego, tened en cuenta que tanto esta batalla como la anterior se jugaron en una sola tarde, que encima era nuestra primera vez con el juego.
